Hanifah attends dinner with Mukah footballers

MUKAH: Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib attended a dinner at Dewan Suarah Mesra here on Monday.

The dinner was to mark the end of Mukah football league season 2020 and also to appreciate those involved in the tournament.

It was jointly organised by Mukah Division Football Association (MuFA) and Mukah Information Department.

The toast of the night was champion Petanak United which captured the 2020 Mukah Parliament trophy after defeating Tellian Laut B 1-0 in the final last Saturday.

Naim Nahar from Kampung Penat Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), who netted six goals, won the top scorer award while Melvin Tan (Petanak United) received the best player award.

The dinner also featured a talk on the new normal presented by Mukah District Information officer Syahrulizan Madian.

Sarawak assistant director, Robin Junang, who represented the state director, also spoke.

At the dinner, Hanifah, who is also Mukah MP,   handed a minor rural project (MRP) grant to the Mukah Division Referees Association.

MuFA president Sgt Maj Ajahar Bakar, Mukah Division Temenggong Hendi Suhai, Pemanca Mohamad @Jali Kawi and Sarawak adminstrative officer (SAO) Pleadzman Ahip also attended the dinner.
