Hardcore poor receive Raya donations from Senadin rep

MIRI: A total of 260 needy families residing in 13 villages in Senadin received donations in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations.

According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), the donations were to ease the burden of the Muslim B40 families in the area.

Its assemblyman Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin said that the donations were an annual commitment of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Senadin branch.

“A total of 260 poor families of the Muslim community, including the disabled, the hardcore poor and the elderly, have received donations in the form of hampers consisting of food and money to ease their burden, especially during this festive season.

“This donation is an ongoing commitment to bring cheer to the less fortunate in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations,” UKAS reported.

In line with this, during the visit which was held on April 8 and 9, Lee and the SUPP Senandin branch team distributed donations to the recipients from Kampung Masjid, Kampung Muhibbah, Kampung Batu Satu, Kampung Senadin Jaya, Kampung Pangkalan Lutong, Kampung Tudan Phase 2, Kampung Tudan Phase 4 and 5, Kampung Tanjong Batu, Kampung Haji Wahid, Kampung Lopeng Katong, Kampung Lopeng Tengah, Kampung Lembah Hijau, and Kampung Riam Jaya.
