KUCHING: Selamat Hari Gawai to all those who are celebrating.

The festival holds great importance as it marks the conclusion of the rice harvesting season.

Gawai is predominantly celebrated by the Dayak communities in Sarawak, but it is heartening to see people from other ethnic backgrounds joining their Dayak friends in this joyous occasion.

New Sarawak Tribune had the opportunity to speak with individuals about their Gawai wishes and aspirations.
