Head of State receives visit from Kazakhstan ambassador

KUCHING: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a visit from Bulat Sugurbayev, the ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, today.

The purpose, among others, was to discuss bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Sarawak.

Sugurbayev, who is on a three-day official visit to Sarawak, was appointed as the ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia in March 2021, in addition to having served in the Kazakhstan embassies in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

Also accompanying Sugurbayev during the visit was the Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Sarawak, Pengiran Dato Daud Pengiran Putera.
