LIMBANG: Continuous heavy rain on Sunday (Feb 14) caused the Sungai Setuan Bridge here to collapse.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, Kampung Long Napir Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) chairman Joshua Asong said the incident caused the village’s network to be severed.
“The Sungai Setuan Bridge is the main route that connects the residents of Medamit and Medihit.
“Now, vehicles cannot pass through,” he said.
Joshua said the matter had already been relayed to the Limbang District Office and Limbang Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) so immediate action could be taken.
