SIBU: Private kindergartens are advised to obey the instructions of the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE).

Sibu District Education office supervisor for private school management unit, Lolita Jimmy Jalil, advised private kindergartens to refer to the School Opening Management Guidelines and to comply with standard operating procedure (SOP) requirements.

“Private kindergartens can begin to clean the classrooms and vicinity of private kindergartens, including recycling equipment, sanitiser,” she said Wednesday.

In addition, Lolita also said that pupils’ assignments could be done online or “task in the basket/box” in which the teacher provided the assignment in the box/basket.

On “task in the basket/box”, she said parents could go to the kindergarten and retrieve the assignment, and then return it to the kindergarten for review and so on when the assignment was done, so that the learning of the pupils would not be disrupted.

She said the cooperation between the parents and the school was important to keep things running smoothly.
