BETONG: Sarawak must remember to never let Malaya-based parties enter the state.

Saribas assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam said when Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud was chief minister, he prevented Umno from coming to Sarawak.

“And now Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is doing the same – it does not allow Sarawak to be ruled by a Malaya-based party,” he said during the GPS Flag Rally at Panglima Rentap Hall here on Tuesday night.

Although GPS would still be working with the federal government, that did not mean Sarawak would allow itself to be controlled by the central government.

“It will be very challenging for GPS because of the relentless attack by PH in the social media, but I believe if we stand strong to fight for what is right, we will not lose in this fight,” he pointed out.

He said PH had nothing better to do except to bring the image of GPS down.
