Help put S’wak on world map, businessmen told

KUCHING: Sarawak entrepreneurs have been urged to seek out business opportunities and place the state on the world map.

Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian singled out PC Image which has emerged as the largest computer retail outlet in Malaysia and encouraged Sarawakians to emulate the outlet’s determination and make a name for themselves.

“I want Sarawakians to realise their potentials, to always seek opportunities in whatever they do.

“From there, you can put Sarawak on the world stage and be recognised by the international communities for your contribution,” he said.

He was speaking at the PC Image ‘Largest Computer Retail Outlet in Malaysia’ award presentation by Malaysia Book of Records in conjunction with the company’s 20th anniversary, at UCSI Hotel here, yesterday (December 5).

In the meantime, PC Image, which commenced business in Kuching in 2000, has grown exponentially to Sabah and Malaya with over 30 outlets across the country.

The recognition accorded by the Malaysia Book of Records to PC Image is an important milestone for the outlet.

It brings the shareholders closer to meeting their company’s vision which is “To be the most loved and leading IT chain in Malaysia”.
