Help sought to find missing man

SIBU: The police are calling on the public to assist in locating Kong Chak Meng, a 21-year-old man with a mental disability, who has been missing since Saturday (Nov 11), in the Sungai Telian, Durin here.

Kong, who stands at 150 cm, was last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts. His disappearance was reported by his father on Sunday (Nov 12) after he was not found at home since 10 am the previous day.

Sibu police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili appealed anyone with information to come forward and information can be informed to the Lanang police station chief at 013-8335571, Lanang police station at 084-211221, or directly to Sgt Tinggie Entigal, the investigating officer, at 014-9555569.

A multi-agency search and rescue operation, involving the Fire and Rescue Department, the police, and the Civil Defence Force, is currently in its third day.

However, as of now, there have been no updates on Kong’s whereabouts.
