MIRI: A contribution of RM2,030 was given to the family of the late Sta Bilong at Rumah Mokeng, Simpan Bekenu, on Sunday (Sept 26).
The contribution was handed out by a representative of Teresang Dayak Bekenu, Jaddy Ambau, to a family member Dennis Mandi for the funeral ceremony.
Also present to witness the handover of the contribution were Teresang Dayak president Ugik Jalit and member Dominic James.
The contribution came from the generosity of Teresang Dayak Bekenu members in assisting families who are in need.
“I am proud to see members helping families who are in need; this is the kind of spirit that we need during this crisis.
“By helping each other, this also strengthens the bond between us and the community, which I am happy to see.
“I hope that this relationship would continue on in the future,” said Ugik.
