KOTA SAMARAHAN: Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang officiated at ‘Sepakat@Komuniti Programme, Cultivating the New Norm: Breaking the Covid-19 Chain’ at Dewan Sri Payung, Kampung Endap here today.

The programme was organised by the Samarahan District Information Department (JaPen) to raise public awareness of the need to work with the government especially healthcare workers and law enforcement officers to break the Covid-19 chain of infection.

The programme also aimed at developing strategic cooperation between ministries, departments and agencies, corporate sectors, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in conveying the message of adhering to the new norms consistently and continuously.

Apart from that, the programme aimed at ensuring the public continue to comply with the existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) such as wearing face masks when in public places, practise physical distancing and cleaning hands by washing with soap and water or using hand sanitisers.

Also present at the event were Samarahan District JaPen officer Latip Shamsuddin, Samarahan District Officer Annuar Daan, Samarahan District Pemanca Seli, and Kampung Endap Penghulu Awang Muhammad.
