Henry hands out RM425,000 in RTP, MRP grants

BAU: A total of RM425,000 has been allocated to Kampung Suba Bau, Kampung Suba Bandar, the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of the Bidayuh community of Pekan Bau and its surrounding areas.

According to UKAS, the allocation was given by Transport Deputy Minister Datuk Henry Harry Jinep under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) and Minor Rural Projects for 2022.

“Of the total, RM200,000 under the RTP allocation was given to build a parking lot while RM5,000 was approved under the MRP for the purpose of student charity assistance at Kampung Suba,” said Henry.

“And RM10,000 was given to the JKKK here to carry out annual activities,” he said when attending the ‘Ngarom Apresiasi Duoh Pirami Gawea Kampung Suba Bau’ ceremony at the village multipurpose hall here on Saturday (June 18).

He disclosed that RM200,000 under the RTP allocation was also given to Kampung Suba Bandar for the construction of its multipurpose hall while an MRP allocation of RM5,000 was given to the village JKKK.

He also approved RM5,000 under the MRP allocation for the Pekan Bau Bidayuh Community JKKK and its surrounding areas to hold annual activities.

With the allocation given, Henry urged the community to continue showing their support for the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government in the next General Election so that more assistance and allocation can be channeled to the rakyat in future.
