KUCHING: Historical Society of Malaysia, Sarawak branch will organise a public lecture entitled “Learning from History” this at 9am this Saturday at the Sarawak State Library here.
According to a statement yesterday, the main purpose of the event is to expose the public to important knowledge about history and the reasons we need to learn and understand it.
In this regard, the association intends to invite students from several schools and members of associations around the city to the lecture. Members of the public are also welcome.
Senior lecturer from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Assoc Prof Bilcher Bala is expected to deliver a talk at the event.
