Hope gets a boost with 1st batch Covid-19 vaccine

Raya Airways flew in this evening (Feb 24) with the much-anticipated first batch of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, touching down at about 6.30pm.

On hand to witness the event were Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, State Health Department (JKNS) director Dr Chin Zin Hing, and other representatives.

Sarawak hopes to vaccinate some 2.2 million Sarawakians and non-Sarawakians by the end of the programme.
