KUCHING: Hope Place Kuching is calling for donations from the public to help more than 190 needy families.

Earlier the week, Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan conducted a charity talk to more than 400 pupils at Lodge National Primary School in conjunction with the school’s charity drive month.

The school encourages its pupils to bring any dry food to school by June 21 in support of the drive.

Once all are collected, the school will hand over the items to Hope Place to be disbursed to needy families.

Hope Place Kuching can be reached at 082-505 987 and its operating hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm from Mondays to Fridays, and 8.45am to 12pm on Saturdays.

The public can also make a monetary donation to its Maybank account number 5112-8900-1160.
