MUKAH: The head of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Mukah Branch, Abdul Jalil Bujang hopes that the Cabinet members who were appointed on Friday and were sworn in yesterday, will be able to successfully bring Malaysia back to the peak of glory by restoring the trust of the people and foreign investors who can increase Malaysia’s economic performance.

He said the Cabinet team was made up of honourable members who already had a lot of experience. And the new faces, despite being new, they had expressed thoughtful opinions for the progress of the country.

“Congratulations and well done to all Members of Parliament for being appointed to the unity government Cabinet team.

“It is a combination that includes almost all political parties from various races who agreed to participate and join together to establish a Unity Government led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim,” he said when contacted by Suara Sarawak/New Sarawak Tribune.

In fact, it can be seen that since the announcement of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia, the stock market has shot up and the value of the ringgit has also increased against the US dollar.

“Hopefully this trend can be maintained and I believe that the Finance Portfolio held by our Prime Minister is very important to nurture the trust of the people and players in the business world as well as in the management and administration of the nation’s finances.

“This commitment has been mentioned many times by Anwar before he was in the government and also after holding the position of Prime Minister before,” he explained.

In the meantime, he said the appointment of five honourable members of parliament from Sarawak will certainly have a big impact on progress in Sarawak.

“The portfolios held involving the plantation industries, commodities, infrastructure and tourism are expected to be able to help increase Sarawak’s income in particular.

“At the same time the aspect of unity and women’s development are important for the development of society as the heart that supports the economic development and well-being of the country,” he said.

Thus he also called and pleaded for the Minister of Communications, Minister of Religion and Minister of Unity to play a forward role in dealing with the issues of religious and racial sensitivity by bringing a narrative that can contain and embed the sensitivity of extremism for the sake of the stability and well-being of the country.
