KUCHING: Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd, a housing development company committed to innovation and sustainability, has received another esteemed award that is Partnership for the Goals Recognition at the prestigious Forward Faster Sustainability Awards programme recently.

The awards programme organised by the United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB) was to recognise and celebrate exceptional contributions by organisations committed to advancing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The recognition bestowed upon Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd under the Partnership for the Goals recognition category reaffirms its efforts in fostering impactful partnerships and driving collective action towards sustainable development in the construction industry.

Its chief executive officer (CEO) Hanizam Hashim said the company was proud to receive the Partnership for the Goals Recognition.

The ceremony was held at the Park Royal Collection Kuala Lumpur on Nov 24; officiated by Deputy Minister of Economy Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib.  Also in attendance were Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Distinguished Fellow UN Sustainable Solutions Network at Sunway University and adviser to the All Party Parliamentary Group on SDGs and Dr. Tunku Alina Alias, the National Advisory Panel of UNGCMYB.

As a leader in the industry, Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd has demonstrated exemplary commitment and action towards realising the SDGs, revolutionising the housing industry and contributing to sustainable housing development through projects like Samariang Avenue and Samariang Avenue Phase II.

“The company’s ground-breaking housing development project, Samariang Avenue, reflects its dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.”

“This project involves providing affordable housing complete with solar panels in every home on Jalan Bakti, Petrajaya,” he said.

The housing project is also integrated with Google Smart Home systems, hydroponic gardens, and rainwater harvesting systems for homeowners to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle in line with several SDGs.
