MIRI: Three personnel of the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) on Tuesday evening removed a hornet’s nest the size of a small car tyre.

The nest apparently occupied a storage cabinet of a secondary school in Luak here.

Upon receiving a call on the discovery from the school at 5pm, three APM personnel immediately rushed to the scene.

It took them about 30 minutes to remove the nest out of the storage cabinet.

No injuries were reported.

According to sources, teachers spotted the nest and immediately alerted APM for help out of fear for students’ safety.
