PI'EE ALWI and ALP presented a donation to Betong Hospital here, yesterday.

BETONG: Members of the Board of Visitors of Betong Hospital have donated various items worth RM15,780 to provide for a better stay at the hospital’s guest house.

Its chairman Pi’ee Alwi said the donations consisted of bed sets and pillows, chairs, tables, buckets, buckets, clothing hangers, mats, fans, cabinets, water heaters, water coolers, printing machines, sockets and others.

The absence of essential items at the facility has all this while made it difficult for relatives waiting for family members getting treatment, he said.

“Alhamdulillah with the funds donated by local representatives, we are helping the hospital.

“This will to some extent provide comfort to the community, especially those who are waiting for relatives who are being treated at Betong Hospital, particularly those who come from far away,” he said after handing over the donated goods to the Director of Betong Hospital here, yesterday.

He explained that earlier on Aug 25 last year the Visitors’ Board had donated other equipment for the same purpose.

He hoped the hospital and the community who use the guest house can work together to take care of the facilities there.

“When there are facilities, take good care of them so that many people can enjoy what has been contributed by the Visitors’ Board.

“We will try to continue helping the hospital as much as possible,” he added.
