According to the report, the Malaysian had attracted many victims of poverty from around the world who wanted to sell their organs.

According to the Sun, the man revealed he had masterminded the sale of 45 kidneys illegally and that he started using a Facebook group account two years ago to buy and sell kidneys and get organ donors from among the poor.

“They’re all serious (about donating). Nobody wants to sell their kidneys if there is no financial problem,” he told The Sun journalist in Kuching.

The man, who has four children and no medical experience, was discovered by The Sun journalists in Sarawak, who disguised themselves as kidney buyers for relatives in Britain who needed organ transplants.

The journalists revealed that the man offered a kidney with an organ transplant tour package worth £85,000 (RM466,440) illegally specially for British citizens.

The Sun claimed that the man has more than 100 worldwide potential kidney sellers in his book. The payment includes an ‘under the table’ bribe so that the operation can be performed at a clinic in Manila, Philippines.

He also confirmed links between international organ trade by taking organs from the oppressed Uighur Muslim minority in China.

According to The Sun, UK, the dealer created a marketplace on the now-closed Facebook page to buy and sell human kidneys.
