SIBU: A double-storey wooden house at Kampung Usahajaya Baru (Phase 2) in Sentosa was destroyed by a fire at 2.30pm yesterday.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sibu acting chief Wan Kamarudin Wan Ahmad said by the time his personnel arrived, the fire was already at its height.
“However, no fatalities were reported during the incident as all occupants were outside — working or at school,” he told reporters.
The cause of the fire and total loss are still under investigation.
