KOTA SAMARAHAN: A single-storey terrace house at Taman Berlian Stabil, here was partially razed in a mid-day fire on Saturday.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre received a distress call around 12.15pm and deployed firefighters from Kota Samarahan Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.
The firefighters succeeded in putting out the fire which had burnt about 70 percent of the house.
According to sources, the fire had damaged the ceiling, walls, electrical appliances and home furniture at the premises.
There were no reports of casualties and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
