MIRI: A young housewife succumbed to her injuries following a two-car collision which occurred at the Jalan Bulan Sabit traffic light intersection at 1.30am on Saturday.

Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu when contacted yesterday said that the 21-year-old woman was a passenger of a Perodua Viva car which collided with a Proton Perdana car.

“She succumbed to her injuries during treatment at Miri Hospital around 11pm on Saturday,” he said.

The driver of the Perodua Viva car as well as two others in the Proton Perdana car sustained bodily injuries.

Prior to the collision, the woman and her friend were heading towards Jalan Bulan Sabit from Jalan Sukan, while the Proton Perdana car from Krokop was heading towards Jalan Sehati.
