Huge crowds at Kudi’s Gawai Open House

KAPIT: A political secretary to the Chief Minister Nicholas Kudi Jantai held Gawai Dayak Open House at his residence along Jalan Selirik here to welcome well-wishers on first day of Gawai.

It was a merry making occasion attended by hundreds of well-wishers from all walks of lives calling on Kudi and his family wishing them a Happy Gawai celebration.

Among the well-wishers were local politicians led by Hulu Rajang Member of Parliament Datuk Wilson UgakKumbong andPelagus assemblyman Wilson NyabongIjang, heads of departments include Bukit Mabong District Officer Douglas Pungga, Special Branch officer ASP Chua Su Hua, BOMBA officer SaingUsat,community leaders from the various ethnic groups namely Penghulu Sia Shui Poh, Penghulu SallangBatang, Penghulu Undie Bajai, Kapitan Kong Cheak Hee, Councillor Liew Hui Hua, Councillor George Tang, businessman Liew Hu iKiong, relatives and friends.

Kudi is the elder son of Councillor Jantai Maseng who is also the Sarawak Electricity Berhad (SEB) public relation officer for Baleh Dam.

Kudi is one of the youngest political secretaries from Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and was sworn in as political secretary on 26 July 2016.
