BINTULU: The Bintulu Integrated Administration Centre (IAC) in Jepak will be fully completed by October this year, despite a slight delay.

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development, Datuk Ir. Aidel Lariwoo, was pleased with the project’s progress and noted that the construction was currently 60.85 per cent complete, slightly behind the planned 66 per cent.

“There is a slight delay of 5.5 per cent. If compared to the number of days, it amounts to a 26-day delay, and we expect to complete the project by October this year,” he told reporters after his site visit on Friday.

He attributed the slowdown to a shortage of manpower but assured that efforts were underway to recruit additional workers to finish the remaining 40 per cent of the project.
