SELANGAU: A delegation from the Iban Balau Community Club (IBCC) paid a courtesy call on Tamin assemblyman (Christopher Gira Sambang recently at his office here.
The visit was led by club chairman and former state secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion. He was accompanied by office-bearers Datuk Gerusin Ayom, Dr Philip Nuli Anding, Lt (RT) Mohd Melintang, Monica Midi and Stonton James (Mujab).
“I was informed by IBCC that they were registered with the Registrar of Societies department Sarawak (RoS) in January of 2021,” Gira said.
The club is aimed at, among other objectives, strengthening ties among members of the Balau Iban community and improving their socioeconomic status.
“I support the club for looking into the interest of the community and I wish the club success,” he said.
