DEBAK: The Covid-19 vaccine is not administered at random.

It will be inoculated with care but there are still who still raise doubts about it among the community.

Saribas assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam said the vaccine was even taken by most countries, including developed countries.

According to him, rumours that some residents who refused to fill in the registration due their unwillingness to be vaccinated, are very worrying.

“Indeed, the government does not force them but the community must be confident in the government’s efforts to provide vaccines.

“The government will not do as it pleases when it comes to public health and it is proven essential after many countries including developed countries took the Covid-19 vaccine,” he told New Sarawak Tribune today.

“People must acknowledge that vaccination programme also has specific and strict guidelines by the Ministry of Health (MoH) for those who are at risk and have other chronic diseases.

“Therefore, I would like to remind you, especially among those living in rural areas; there is no need to worry. God willing, the MoH has also given an assurance on its level of effectiveness,” he said.

Razi also advised the public to obtain authentic and accurate information about vaccines through the right platform.

He added that the negative perceptions that were widely spread on social media should be reviewed and that people should not believe them completely.

He thanked the government for providing huge allocations and lots of efforts to provide the vaccines while the Covid-19 pandemic was at its peak.
