KUCHING: An unemployed man was arrested for selling illegal lotteries in a house at Kampung Jugan, Bau on Wednesday evening.
Bau police chief DSP Poge Nyaon confirmed that acting on information received, police raided a house at Kampung Jugan and arrested a suspect aged 46.
He said the suspect will be charged under 4A (a) of the Gaming Act 1953 which provides for a maximum fine of RM 200,000 or jail term upon conviction.
