KUCHING: Imperial Hotel here recently held its annual fire drill exercise in collaboration with the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (MFRD), Royal Malaysian Police (RMP), and Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
In a press release, the drill aimed to enhance safety measures and the readiness of both guests and staff in dealing with real fire hazards, as well as familiarise them with evacuation and rescue protocols.
During the exercise, the department provided training to the hotel’s staff on the proper use of fire extinguishers and shared essential firefighting safety procedures.
The hotel’s emergency evacuation system and facilities were also thoroughly tested as part of the drill.
