KUCHING: Sarawak Teachers’ Union (STU) president Macky Joseph said it was important that students especially those in Form Five and Form Six to return to their schools while those working there must have their body temperatures routinely checked and recorded.
He said schools must also strictly comply with the SOP and ensure that physical distancing was adhered to in the classrooms.
“They must also have self-discipline, continual awareness of their surroundings and be updated on the latest information about Covid-19,” he told New Sarawak Tribune when contacted on Friday (June 5).
He also advised teachers to be ever ready to resume classes which will be done in stages.
“STU also hopes that the health authorities would guide the schools in combating the pandemic,” he said.
