Incentivising motorists to pay parking tickets

MIRI: The Miri City Council is launching a ‘Lucky Draw’ campaign for motorists to incentivise them to settle their outstanding parking fees.

The campaign will run from February 1 until April 30 this year.

Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang said vehicle owners who settle their outstanding parking compound fees during this period will be automatically entered for the lucky draw and have the opportunity to win various prizes.

The first prize is a Modenas Kriss MR3 motorcycle; second prize Smart TV 50 inch and third prize is a 10kg washing machine.

Other prizes include an electric oven, fruit juice blender and monthly parking coupons.

The purpose of the campaign is to promote the ‘Pay your Parking Outstanding 2.0’ initiative and raise awareness about the ‘Borneo Park Miri’ app.

Miri City Council encourages vehicle owners to check their outstanding parking tickets and make payments using the “Borneo Park Miri” app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Alternatively, payments can also be made at any parking booth in Miri or through the Borneo Parking Systems Sdn Bhd Office at Level 3A, Miri.
