KAPIT: Low-lying areas in Kapit were inundated by flood water following incessant downpour for past several days.
The areas included Rumah Juntan at Karangan Ara, SK Nanga Sempili, access road to SK Lepong, SK Temenggong Koh, Jalan Sesibau, Kampung Baru, Jalan Suhaili, Rumah Bengau, Sut, Baleh and Lorong 7 Jalan Airport.
Kapit Natural Disaster Management Committee chairman, Elvis Didit when contacted here said all community leaders had been told to monitor the flood situation in their areas. Meanwhile, the police and Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) are on full alert and are ready to mobilise their men to any area hit by floods.
