NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a new application “M-Yoga” on the occasion of 7th International Yoga Day on Monday.

According to Xinhua, the theme of this year’s International Yoga Day is “Yoga for Wellness”, which focuses on practicing Yoga for physical and mental wellbeing.

In his televised address, Modi said the new application would contain Yoga training videos in different languages of the world. The fusion of modern technology and ancient scientific knowledge will benefit all, he added.

The Yoga application has been made in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO).

“India has taken another important step. Now there will be M-Yoga app, which will have yoga training videos in different languages for people across the world. This will help us in our One World, One Health motto,” said Modi in his speech.

“Yoga shows us the road from stress to strength and from negativity to creativity. Yoga tells us that so many problems might be out there, but we have infinite solutions within ourselves. We are the biggest source of energy in the universe,” he added.
