Indonesian ambassador to Malaysia calls on Taib

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from the Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Bapak Hermono at Demak Jaya here on Today (Nov 22).

This was Bapak Hermono’s first visit since he was appointed as the Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia two years ago.

The courtesy call was to share ideas as well as to inform Taib on the development of the new Indonesian capital.

Bapak Hermono also thanked the Sarawak government for giving the opportunity as well as offering various jobs to Indonesians in Sarawak.

Also present were Indonesian Consul General to Kuching, Raden Sigit Witjaksono; and Sarawak Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
