MUKAH: A 21-year-old Indonesian has been nabbed for allegedly involved in drug abuse at a plantation area near here yesterday.
Mukah OCPD DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the district’s Narcotics Crime Investigation Division arrested the suspect – a labourer in a raid at the workers’ quarters at 2.30pm.
He said the team discovered and seized 0.24g of crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine.
“It was found in a straw kept in a cigarette box,” he said in a statement today.
Rizal said the suspect have been taken to the district police station for further investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
