KUCHING: Several Sarawak United FC (SUFC) key players are plagued by injuries at the moment, says head coach S. Balachandran.

However, he said that the injuries are not severe and it should not affect the team’s preparations for the upcoming Malaysia Cup 2022 campaign.

“The injuries suffered by a few of my players are pretty minor and they are expected to be fully fit by the time we face Kelantan FC at home on October 26.

“I do not think that it should be a concern at the moment because I believe that they will be able to play in the match next week,” Balachandran told New Sarawak Tribune and its sister paper Suara Sarawak today (Oct 19).

He added that there is still a week left to go for him and his team to prepare for the match.

“I will utilise the available time as best as I can to improve our team. Our preparations are going on as usual at the moment and training sessions are carried out according to the schedule originally planned.

“We will focus on each and every match and take one game at a time to ensure that we can get good results from every match,” he concluded.
