KUCHING: The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FFM) Institute Sarawak and the Malaysian Plastic Manufacturers Association (MPMA) Sarawak on Thursday (Nov 4) signed a Letter of Collaboration on providing suitable training programmes for members of MPMA Sarawak.

FMM Sarawak Branch chairman Datuk Seri Victor Hii Lu Thian said FMM Sarawak was represented by its vice-chairman, Leslie Phuan Puay Khiong, while MPMA was represented by its Sarawak branch chairwoman, Rebecca Sim Kin Hui.

“MPMA Sarawak will promote FMM Institute training programmes to its members while FMM Institute will identify and customise suitable programmes to meet the needs of MPMA members,” Hii said today (Nov 4).

He added that the collaboration would create a pool of manpower trained in all aspects of industrial skills and management capabilities to face the challenges as the country moved towards an industrialised nation.

“With this collaboration, FMM Institute hopes to fill the gap on the needs for more skilled workforce in Sarawak,” he said.
