KUCHING: A house owner was shocked to find a stranger sleeping in her garden at Ensing Timur, Stapok Tuesday night.
Her maid told her late in the night that someone had climbed the gate and fled when the dogs started barking.
After viewing a CCTV footage, she was shocked to find a scruffy-looking shirtless man climbing through the high fence and looking around for valuables.
He stopped at the clothes rails and took off his trousers and brief before helping himself to the clothes on the racks. The clothes and trousers on the rack belonged to the maid.
He proceeded to sleep in the garden until 11pm when the dogs started barking. He was seen climbing the fence before fleeing.
The house owner believed that the man could be from a nearby construction site. She urged the police to conduct frequent patrolling around the area.
