KUCHING: Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng’s Sarawak will go bankrupt remark has been described as an “insult” and “harassment”.

“Pakatan Harapan (PH) is resorting to any means to wrestle power from GPS. To me the statement is not only an insult but also harassment by a bully,” said Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang.

“As a finance Minister, he should not say that. His dexterous play with words trying to deceive the minds of people in an art of perception politics will not be easily acceptable in Sarawak,” he said in a press statement.

Idris also saw the statement as a deviation to draw Sarawakians’ attention away from PH’s failed GE14 promises.

“As the new federal govt, they have obviously shown a lot of shortcomings and below-expectation-kind of performance, U-turns and haphazardness both in policy-decisions and implementation.

“Presently their PH coalition is weak…weak because of the intrigues within. It is obvious their house is not in order, but they are pretending it is. Just look at the case of the homosexual videos.

“That is just the tip of the iceberg. The PH ship will hit the iceberg and sink soon.”
