SIBU: Members of the public with Covid-19 vaccination appointments at the Rejang Medical Centre (RMC) have been urged to go to Dewan Suarah Sibu instead.
Chief of the former vaccination centre at the Rejang Medical Centre, Anne Lau said there had been a change in the location.
“Some members of the public are still going to the old premises at Jalan Wong Soon Kai,” she said.
She urged them to go to Dewan Suarah Sibu, the new location for the vaccination centre.
“The vaccination centre at Dewan Suarah Sibu started to operate on Monday. It can accommodate 1,000 people per day.
“I would also like to remind members of the public to check their vaccination appointments and locations which are stated in their MySejahtera application.
“So far, the vaccination programme is going on well as it is facilitated by the officers on duty who comprise frontliners from the Rejang Medical Centre and volunteers,” said Lau, who is also the general manager of the medical centre.
Meanwhile, Jaya Salleh, 48, was grateful for his Covid-19 vaccination.
He said initially, he was scared and nervous about getting the jab. Later on, he changed his mind after most of his friends were vaccinated.
Hayati Suhaili, 41, who also received her vaccination, urged members of the public to be brave and come forward for theirs.
She said she did not feel any pain during the jab.
“I am very grateful and happy that the vaccination programme went smoothly. It was very organised and the officers on duty were very helpful,” she added.
