KUCHING: A local man was sentenced to one year and four months imprisonment, one whipping and fined RM4,000 for swindling a licensed moneylender by forging his documents while borrowing a sum of RM7,150.
Amathurizzkhand Amran, 25, pleaded guilty to the three charges read separately before Magistrates Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali and Zubaidah Sharkawi.
He was accused of committing the offence at a moneylending company at Jalan Sekama on Dec 15, 2020.
