MIRI: A 45-year-old man was sentenced to three months’ jail this morning (17 Sept) for threatening an auxiliary policewoman at the airport here yesterday (16 Sept).
According to Miri deputy police chief, Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol, the 45-year-old suspect was detained around 9.45am yesterday.
“The incident occurred around 9.10 am that day.
“The suspect had entered the main entrance of Miri Airport without a mask and allegedly got into an argument with the auxilliary policewoman about it.
“He (the suspect) subsequently threatened her with remarks “you want to die?” said Supt Mohd Sabri when contacted today.
The man was immediately detained by the auxiliary police before they handed him over to the police for further action.
Sabri added the suspect was produced and charged in Miri Magistrate Court this morning.
