Jalan Lapangan Terbang closed between 8pm and 5am, Nov 21-28

KUCHING: A temporary closure for road maintenance works will be implemented by the Public Works Department (JKR) Kuching Division at Jalan Lapangan Terbang here between 8pm and 5am from Nov 21 to 28.
JKR Sarawak said that road diversions or closures would only be done while maintenance works are being carried out at the worksite in order to provide room for heavy machinery to perform the task.
“However, this road will be open as soon as possible if the maintenance works can be completed early in order to facilitate the movement of traffic,” they said in a statement on Thursday (Nov 18).
They urged the public to follow the safety signs provided before and after the affected area and also to cooperate and follow the instructions of the route guard to facilitate the flow of traffic.
“JKR Kuching Division will inform if there are any changes in the date, time, or area involved in these maintenance works.”
They advised road users to plan their journey more carefully during this period when maintenance works will be carried out.
“If there are any complaints or queries in relation to the traffic flow in the maintenance area, please contact the JKR Kuching Division Office at 016-8885761 during office hours.”
