BINTULU: The Konvoi Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang 2023 organised by the Information Department ended its tour at the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) here, Tuesday (August 15).
Upon arriving at BDA, the convoy, led by Sarawak Director of Information, Jaafar Jantan, was welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer of BDA, Datuk Muhamad Yakup Kari.
As a symbolic gesture, Jaafar handed over the Jalur Gemilang to Muhamad, witnessed by department heads in Bintulu, senior BDA officials, participants of the convoy and BDA staff.
Today, the convoy met with the Deputy High Commissioner of Malaysia, Nur Ezira Mahadi, at the Office of the Deputy High Commissioner of Malaysia in Brunei Darussalam.
In her speech, Nur Ezira, expressed her deep appreciation for the visit to the deputy high commissioner’s office.
Also held during the meeting was the presentation of the Jalur Gemilang by Jaafar to Nur Ezira as a symbolic token of the visit to the country.
