James Dawos dies

KUCHING: Former Energy, Green Technology and Water Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Dr James Dawos Mamit passed away  early this morning. He was 70.

According to his nephew, Dawos, who was battling nose cancer, died at his home in Taman Stutong, Tabuan Jaya here at around 1.30am.

He leaves behind wife Datin Seri Christine Dawung Narub and two sons.

Dawos, a four-term Member of Parliament for Mambong (renamed Puncak Borneo) and a veteran Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) leader, was not fielded in the last 14th general election due to his health condition.
