Jamit presents MRP grants to local bodies

KAPIT: Bukit Goram state assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat recently presented Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants to several local clubs and associations in Kapit district.

Among the recipients were Kapit Coffee Shop and Restaurant Owners’ Association (Kapit CSROA) (RM5,000); Kapit Land and Survey Department Sports, Welfare and Social Recreational Clun (Landas) (RM5,000) and Kapit Chinese Women Association (Kapit CWA) (RM5000).

The presentation ceremony, held at the lobby of Meligai Hotel here, was witnessed by several committee members of the Kapit CSROA, Kapit CWA and staff of the Bukit Goram GPS-PBB Services Centre.

On hand to receive the grant from Jamit on behalf of Kapit Coffee Shop and Restaurant Owners’ Association was its chairman, Ma Thian Ho while Penghulu Wong Kie Ing received the grant on behalf of Kapit Chinese Women Association.

Jamit, in brief remarks, advised the committees to inform their members that the government fund had been banked into their accounts.
