Kampung Teh Labak JKKK online meeting in progress.

MUKAH: Kampung Teh Labak village development and security committee (JKKK) here held its first online meeting via Zoom recently.

Chairman Daniel Hillary said the meeting this time around had to be held online as per Covid-19 prevention standard operating procedure.

He added that the online meeting actually exposed committee members to the technological facilities available here.

“The new approach can also be used for other JKKK meetings in future,” he said when chairing the meeting.

“Among the agenda of the meeting included quarantine matters among the community and donation drive, planning for date of handover of ownership of facilities at the village cemetery and application for road project.”

According to him, the meeting was an active affair in which opinions and suggestions were discussed objectively, and decisions agreed unanimously.

JKKK treasurer Rudolf Felix Baiseng described the virtual meeting as a paradigm shift in an effort to embrace information communication technology (ICT).
