KUCHING: Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, who is also Batu Kawa assemblyman, thanked the Public Works Department (JKR) for their prompt action on solving the severely blocked drainage system on both sides of the federal road from Jalan Batu Kawa, Stapok until Datuk Chong Kiun Kong bridge.
“I appreciate JKR’s prompt action on solving this issue”, he said.
Dr Sim added that it is JKR’s responsibility to improve, upgrade and plan road development and he hoped that it will pay more attention to the drainage system and road conditions in Batu Kawa, as well as perform maintenance and repair works
to ensure the safety of road users.
