BAU: A jobless man was arrested by narcotic police for possession of drugs in Kampung Stass yesterday (May 10).
District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon, said the 29-year-old suspect was detained in front of a house around 11.40am.
“Inspections found a plastic packet containing crystalline substance believed to be syabu on the suspect.
“Both the suspect and the drugs weighing 0.30g, were taken to the police station for further action,” he said.
The suspect who does not have any previous convictions also tested positive for drugs.
Poge said the suspect is believed to have been abusing drugs for several months.
Investigations are continuing.
