KUCHING: Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) will be hosting the “Malaysia Ngaji 2017” programme on 19 June, 2017 at 11.00am at its gallery.
The programme will be graced by the Chairman of Sarawak Islamic Council, Datu Haji Misnu Haji Taha.
Members of the public from various department and agencies or individuals are encouraged to attend the programme and hastag their participation with #MalaysiaNgaji2017 and #LanNgaji2017 for Sarawak.
“The programme will be held simultaneously in all over the country. We are targeting 30,000 participants from Sarawak,” Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pustaka, Arpah Adenan told a press conference at the Main Meeting Room of the Sarawak State Library here yesterday.
Meanwhile, Head of Library Services, Japri Bujang Masli said the programme aimed to nurture the spirit of reading the Al-Quran among the Muslim community.
